Description

The Well Guesthouse is a cycle friendly B&B with a pub nestled in Ogbourne St. George, in the tranquil Marlborough Downs in Wiltshire and conveniently close to major roads. It is a family-run inn steeped in history. Dating back to 1658, this traditional coaching inn is situated along Europe’s oldest highway, the Ridgeway path, and provides easy access to the A346 and M4 motorway.

The guesthouse is named after an ancient well incorporated into the restaurant floor. Safely covered with bulletproof glass, it allows guests to peer down into the 30-metre-deep shaft.

Dinner and drinks are served at 19:00, with a selection of main courses, sweets, and desserts. Packed lunches are also available and can be arranged upon arrival.

The inn offers quiet, purpose-built, en-suite accommodation in a separate annexe. It features pet-friendly rooms on the ground floor and pet-free rooms upstairs, catering to all guests’ needs.
