The cycle friendly Sea Fern is a spacious holiday cottage in the heart of Fylingthorpe, within 1 mile of Robin Hood's Bay and the beach.

This beautifully renovated cottage has a private garden for chilling out after a long ride exploring the North York Moors or the Cinder Track, which runs along the coast from Whitby to Scarborough. Sea Fern sleeps up to six people in three bedrooms and is ideally suited to accommodate families or a group of five friends.

Fylingthorpe is a small village less than a mile from Robin Hood's Bay in the North York Moors National Park, approximately five miles from Whitby.

The area is fantastic for exploring the North Yorkshire Coast from Scarborough to Saltburn. It's perfect for walkers, mountain bikers, surfers, or just relaxing on the beach. In Fylingthorpe itself, there is a butchers, a corner shop that opens 365 days a year, and the Fylindales Inn is just 5 minute walk away. In Robin Hood's Bay, there are plenty of cafes, pubs, restaurants and sweet shops, so you won't be short of a well-earned place to rest after your day's activities.

The property was refurbished in 2022, so it's all NEW! There are new beds, mattresses, bathrooms, and a bath for soaking tired muscles!

Sea Fern is a special place for owners Jill & Ben, who discovered the Cinder Track 30 years ago. A hire bike adventure rekindled Jill's childhood love of cycling, and despite falling off, head first over the handlebars into some brambles, it was love at first bike ride! The pure joy of cycling in a traffic-free environment with a view out to sea has drawn them back year after year and ultimately resulted in them buying Sea Fern because it's just 300 meters to the Cinder Track. We have many great memories attached to it, and we're convinced you will, too.
